Clinical study on the serum lipids of the postnecrotic livercirrhosis

Abstract
In this report, total lipid, phospholipid, total cholesterol and cholesterol ester (percentage) of the serum lipid were measured on the 82 cases of postnecrotic liver cirrhosis admitted to the department of gastroenterology of this hospital. The following results were obtained through the correlations with the general liver function tests and serum lipid.
1. On the 82 cases of postnecrotic liver cirrhosis the increase of total lipid was frequently noted on 74 cases (90.2%). Whereas, the changes of increase and decrease of phospholipid were not observed. The majority of cases had total cholesterol and cholesterol ester(percentage)of within normal limit or of decrease in their values.
2. In the relations between serum lipid and serum protein there was a close relationship between not only the decrease of total protein and that of total lipid. but also the decrease of serum iron and that of total lipid.
3. The increase and decrease of phospholipid is correlated with albumin, total globulin, gamma globulin and A/G ratio, but such relations are thought to be changed by the state of diseases. There, only, are the meaningful correlations between the decrease of phospholipid and thymol turbidity test.
4. The meaningful correlations exist among the decrease of total cholesterol and total protein, the increase of total globulin and alpha©ü globulin, the increase of total bilirubin and the decrease of serum iron.
5. In the percentage of cholesterol ester the significant correlations exist among the decrease of ester form, the increase of total globulin and gamma globulin, A/G
